Research

Research and evaluation play a key role in informing education strategy at the Wellcome Trust. We also hope research can help develop practice and contribute to an increasing body of knowledge about creative education work.

Evaluations of previous projects by Y Touring Theatre Company have been important in developing our ideas on science and drama.

The Pulse initiative was developed as a result of a piece of research (view PDF below) conducted by the Centre for Applied Theatre Research (CATR) at the University of Manchester's Department of Drama. The first round of Pulse is also being independently evaluated by CATR. Details of this evaluation will be available in 2005. For more information about CATR's research on Pulse please contact Jenny Hughes at jenny.hughes@man.ac.uk.
