Wellcome Trust Four-year PhD Studentship Programmes begin autumn 2013 intake

Across the UK, the Wellcome Trust’s Four-year PhD Studentship Programmes are inviting applications from students looking to undertake postgraduate training.

This is a flagship scheme that aims to support the most promising students in undertaking in-depth postgraduate training.

We currently support 30 programmes based in centres of excellence throughout the UK, providing specialised training in a broad range of important biomedical research areas, including:

developmental biology and cell biology
genetics, statistics and epidemiology
immunology and infectious disease
molecular and cellular biology
neuroscience
physiological sciences
structural biology and bioinformatics.

Students are recruited annually by the individual programmes for uptake in October each year. Recruitment begins in the preceding December.
