Applications open for biomedical resource and multi-user equipment grants
14 July 2011

Biomedical resource grants are intended to provide support for researchers wishing to establish or maintain biomedical resources (including databases and collections) for the benefit of the wider scientific community. Applications should take into account the needs of the wider research community and be supported by evidence of need for the resource.
Equipment grants are intended to provide support for multi-user items of equipment, including equipment required to create a central resource for a number of disparate scientific programmes. Applicants should demonstrate how the requested equipment would enhance Trust-funded investments in strategic areas of interest and add value to Trust-funded research.
Applications for both biomedical resource grants and multi-user equipment will be considered on an annual basis at a themed Strategic Awards Committee.
For more information, visit biomedical resource grants or multi-user equipment grants. The submission deadline for preliminary applications is 18 October 2011.
