Our Research Resources in Medical History scheme supports projects to catalogue and preserve history of medicine collections, to ensure that they are available for historians and researchers to use.

Grants made recently include:

  • Colin Gale at Bethlem Royal Hospital Archives and Museum: 'Conservation of Bethlem and Maudsley hospital discharge summaries (1967-93)'.
  • Dr Michael Barfoot at the University of Edinburgh: 'Preserving Edinburgh's 20th century casenotes: treating tuberculosis and World War II injuries'.
