UKCRC call for Registered Clinical Trials Unit applications
4 June 2009

UKCRC brings together key government funding bodies, regulators, health departments and major UK health-related charities, including the Wellcome Trust, to facilitate and promote high-quality clinical research. It aims to re-engineer the environment in which clinical research is conducted in the UK to establish the country as a world leader in the field.
One way UKCRC seeks to do this is by developing and maintaining high-quality capacity for specialist trial design, conduct and analysis in the UK.
The UKCRC Clinical Trials Unit Registration Process is designed to register units with relevant high-quality expertise. Registered Clinical Trials Units contribute to a network developing and coordinating a national portfolio of clinical trials research. Units have a national profile and work together to share expertise, systems and knowledge, preventing duplicate efforts.
Applications are welcomed from clinical trials units in the UK that coordinate multi-centre trials and other well-designed studies, with an overall responsibility for the design, recruitment, data management, publicity and analysis of the trial. Collaborative groups are also eligible.
For further details please visit the UKCRC call for applications.
The closing date for applications is Friday 7 August 2009.
