Sharing Science

10 November 2008

A series of six short films called 'Sharing Science' opens up the lives and work of Dundee scientists to the general public. The films have been produced by artist Gordon Dawson, working with researchers from the Wellcome Trust Centre for Gene Regulation and Expression, part of the College of Life Sciences at the University of Dundee.

The films explore what it is that researchers do in the lab, as well as giving viewers a taste of the pioneering Centre, which opened in November 2007. The Research film follows a Principal Investigator at the Centre, Dr Sonia Rocha, as two years of her and her team’s work comes to fruition in the form of a protein gel showing a particularly important result.

The films are available to view at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Gene Regulation and Expression website.
