'Drawing on Life' website launched
12 August 2008

’Drawing on Life’ is a free three-day festival hosted by Wellcome Collection and University College London (UCL) in central London this September. Animators and illustrators will join forces with neurologists and geneticists, combining their talents to inspire people of all ages and abilities to draw in a series of free creative workshops, performances, classes and much more.
The ’Drawing on Life’ website contains the full festival line-up, including detailed events listings and background on the artists and scientists involved.
It also features an exclusive video of renowned illustrator Steven Appleby, in which Steven explains some of the ideas behind his work and shares some of his top drawing tips.
Coming to the festival? We want you to make a video diary of your visit. Go to the site to find out more.
Content will be added to the site throughout August and September, including a special online collaborative canvas to which we want you to contribute, so make sure you bookmark the site and return often.
The Campaign for Drawing and Bow Arts Trust present 'Drawing on Life' at Wellcome Collection on 26-28 September and UCL and the Wellcome Trust on 27 September. The festival launches The Big Draw 2008, a national month-long celebration of all aspects of drawing.
