Inside DNA exhibition

Launch of Inside DNA exhibition

23 November 2007

A travelling exhibition on the human genome will be launched on 29 November 2007. 'Inside DNA: A genomic revolution' is the UK's first major touring exhibition on genomics.

Designed to provoke questions and stimulate debate, 'Inside DNA' will encourage visitors to explore issues such as the role of genes and environment in various aspects of our lives, such as health, identity and evolution. It will also delve into ethical questions, such as whether genetic testing might lead to potential discrimination or who will benefit most from genetic medicines and national DNA databases.

The exhibition will begin in the At-Bristol science centre and will then tour science centres and museums throughout the UK. The exhibition has been made possible with funding from the Wellcome Trust. At-Bristol is delivering the project on behalf of Ecsite-UK and with content input from the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute.
