Funding: Adjuvant identification and development

6 July 2007

The Wellcome Trust is currently seeking project and programme grant applications from researchers that aim to further the identification and development of vaccine adjuvants (agents which improve the body’s response to vaccines).

We are especially interested in receiving proposals in the following areas:

  • immune potentiators
  • delivery systems
  • safety.

For this specific call, proposals are welcome from applicants based at academic institutions in Europe that meet the Trust’s eligibility criteria, as well as eligible applicants based in the UK or Republic of Ireland. Overseas researchers in developing and restructuring countries who have a track record of Wellcome Trust funding may also apply. We would particularly encourage collaborative proposals involving academic groups and industry, provided both parties can sign up to our grant conditions.

Preliminary enquiries should be submitted by 17 October 2007 and full applications, if invited, will be required by 5 December 2007; decisions will be taken in April 2008.

For further information, see our adjuvants funding pages.
