The Wellcome Trust is inviting a second round of applications from researchers to acquire knockout mouse lines and their associated phenotypic data from Deltagen Inc and Lexicon Genetics Inc. A successful application will result in the mouse line(s) being made available to the research community as a whole, through the European Mutant Mouse Archive (EMMA), as well as to the individual researcher who submitted the proposal.

The Trust issued an initial call for proposals in December 2006, which resulted in the purchase of 44 mouse lines. All awarded mouse lines will be archived and distributed through EMMA.
