Funding: Fellowships in public health and tropical medicine7 December 2006 |
As part of our International Strategy in Global Health Research, a range of fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine have been launched.
These fellowships are open to basic scientists, social scientists, public health researchers and clinical researchers from developing countries, and cover all levels of career support from Master's training to senior fellowships.
The next deadline is 18 December 2006 for preliminary applications and 16 February 2007 for full applications. Applications are considered three times a year and subsequent deadlines will be posted on our website.
Master's Fellowships support a training course and a research project relevant to health in developing countries. Please note that a suitable academic sponsor must submit the application.
Training Fellowships support researchers for three years at an early career stage to gain research experience and training. The majority of the award will be spent in a developing country but there is scope for training overseas.
Intermediate Fellowships support high-calibre mid-career researchers to establish an independent research programme in a developing country location.
Senior Fellowships support outstanding researchers to establish themselves as leading investigators at an academic institution in a developing country location.
