Update: Travelling apothecary

11 September 2006

At 'Travelling Apothecary', a free one-day event on Saturday 16 September from 10.00–18.00, a selection of the UK's most talented young designers will host stalls peddling cures for modern-day ailments in the best Wild West medicine-show tradition.

Taking place at the British Library Piazza on 96 Euston Road, London, ailments to be treated will include 'network addiction', 'litter guilt', 'fantasy flings' and 'IkeaMania'.

The ten stalls will offer a mix of live music, take-home goodies, unusual remedies and bottled tonics.

This exciting event provides a taste of things to come when Wellcome Collection opens next summer.

Commissioned by the Wellcome Trust and curated by Scarlet Projects, this event will form part of The London Design Festival.
