Teachers' TV and the Wellcome Trust to support new science courses

31 October 2005

Teachers' TV and the Wellcome Trust are unveiling a new series of co-produced programmes that tackle some of the controversial issues in science.

Each topic has two dedicated programmes, the first of which is a documentary for pupils to watch, featuring human stories of the conditions involved and comments of scientists working in the field. The second programme in each pair is for teachers. It shows a lesson being taught and offers practical advice and tips for teaching the subject.

The programmes will be broadcast as part of the Teachers' TV dedicated 'Science Week', from Monday 31 October to Sunday 6 November.
