Pulse is a Wellcome Trust funding initiative to support young people’s arts projects inspired by biomedical science. In its first year Pulse 1 saw 23 performing arts projects exploring subjects as diverse as the science of left-handedness and the medicinal properties of the African cherry.
For its second year ‘Pulse 2’ will continue to fund performing arts projects (dance, drama, music, live arts) but this time the challenge has also been extended to other art forms, including visual arts, film, creative writing and new media.
