Preservation
1 December 2004
The Research Resources in Medical History scheme has been extended for a further two years, providing additional funds of £1 million through 2005/2006.
The scheme was launched in 2000 to improve access to medical history collections in the UK for researchers. To date it has awarded £2 million to 58 projects involving the cataloguing and preservation of medical history collections in libraries and archives across the UK.
Most projects funded so far have focused on cataloguing, so applications for preservation and conservation of important but fragile materials are particularly welcome.
