MSD-Wellcome Trust Hilleman Laboratories
This is a unique joint venture between the Wellcome Trust and Merck & Co. Inc., with a not-for-profit mission to focus on developing affordable vaccines for diseases that commonly affect low-income countries.
Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst
This is a £38 million partnership between the Wellcome Trust, UK Government, GlaxoSmithKline, the East of England Development Agency and the Technology Strategy Board, to develop a bioscience park adjacent to GSK's R&D facilities in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
Medical engineering
In June 2009 the Wellcome Trust and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council formed a strategic partnership to stimulate the formation and support of world-class centres of excellence in medical engineering within the UK. Four awards with a combined total of £41m have now been made.
