Helen Czerski

Helen is a physicist, oceanographer and broadcaster with a passion for science, sport, books, creativity, hot chocolate and investigating the interesting things in life.

She currently works at the Institute for Sound and Vibration Research in Southampton, researching the bubbles generated by breaking waves in the ocean.

Helen co-presented the major BBC2 series ‘Orbit: Earth’s Extraordinary Journey’ (broadcast in March 2012) and 'Operation Iceberg' (broadcast in November 2012). She has also made regular appearances on the BBC2 series 'Science Club'.

More recently, she got to share her passion for all the amazing things that bubbles do in the BBC4 documentary 'Bubbles', and has co-presented programmes about the transit of Venus and the Sun.

Helen writes a column for 'Focus' magazine and loves to share her enthusiasm for the science that we touch every day.
