James Randerson

James is environment and science news editor at the Guardian.

He was previously online environment editor and science correspondent and before that was deputy news editor at 'New Scientist' magazine.

James has a PhD in evolutionary genetics and is a previous winner of the Association of British Science Writers' award for investigative journalism. He is the editor of two books: 'The Origin of Darwinism' and 'Cycle Babble' (the book of the Guardian's bike blog).
