The Wellcome Trust brings Darwin into the 21st century
Darwin and Broadcast

Following a call for proposals published in 'Broadcast' magazine in April 2007, the Trust has agreed to fund the development of four broadcast projects:
- Illuminations - to create a multi-platform new media project following the live expedition by a group of scientists and artists tracing the routes of Darwin's journeys in the 1830s
- Windfall Films - for a drama set on the voyage of the Beagle focusing on the relationship between Darwin and Fitzroy
- Colourwheel Animation - to develop a creative and fun animated television series aimed at children aged six to ten, making Darwin and his theory of evolution accessible and understandable to children
- Maverick TV - for a documentary aimed at school teachers to showcase examples of ingenious and effective ways of teaching evolutionary theory.
