Wellcome Trust Centres for Global Health Research
Provide support for the career development of researchers in the fields of public health and tropical medicine through new Centres for Global Health Research.
Global health trials scheme
A joint scheme from the Wellcome Trust, UK Medical Research Council (MRC) and Department for International Development to fund late-stage trials of interventions that will help improve health in low- and middle- income countries, by addressing the major causes of mortality and morbidity.
Human Heredity and Health in Africa
Provide support for the creation and development of the necessary expertise and infrastructure in Africa and establish pan-African research networks.
