Interview with Nelson Sewankambo, Director of THRiVE

Training Health Researchers into Vocational Excellence in East Africa (THRiVE) is a consortium of universities and research institutes in Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya and the UK with the aim of building capacity in East Africa for health sciences research. THRiVE seeks to empower African institutions to develop infrastructure and staff capacity to support and lead world-class health sciences research programmes. It will support a cohort of young African scientists to become internationally competitive and self-sustaining scientific leaders, seeding a regional research community with the critical mass to address Africa's health priorities.
