Research support
Important changes are being made to the Trust's biomedical science grant programmes, which will affect these schemes.
Funding to cover the common costs of biomedical research, including staff salaries, equipment, materials and travel.
Programme grants
Provide support for five years for internationally competitive research relevant to human and animal health. The level of support available for these awards depends on the scientific needs of the work, but applicants should note that awards do not normally exceed £1 200 000.
Project grants
Provide funding for high-quality projects, in basic and clinical sciences, which are relevant to human and animal health. Awards are usually in the region of £150 000 to £350 000 over three years.
