Research Training Fellowships

In the final year of the Veterinary Training Initiative Award, remaining funds will be subsumed into the Research Training Fellowship competition, specifically for vets. Whilst this competition is open to all clinicians including vets, the funds from this initiative will be specifically purposed to support the most promising veterinarians.

We invite veterinary graduates – normally with an intercalated degree and/or a demonstrable interest in research – who wish to develop a career in biomedical research, to apply for support to obtain a laboratory-based PhD. The purpose, level of support provided, eligibility criteria and details of the application process are the same as detailed for the Research Training Fellowships.

Applications will be considered alongside the Research Training Fellowship competition by the Clinical Interview Committee and by members of the Veterinary Fellowship Interview Committee.

• The deadline for full applications is 3 February 2012.
• Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed 27-29 June 2012.

Please note that preliminary applications will not be required.
