King’s College London Clinical Research Facility

Focusing on neuroimaging and novel therapeutics for mental illness.

A new CRF hub will be developed at King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill Campus) as well as a satellite unit at the Guy's Hospital Campus.

What kind of work is conducted there?

King's College London and its partner NHS Trusts based in South London have substantial expertise in biomedical research, and host MRC Centres in Asthma and Allergy, Neurodegeneration and Psychological Illness. There are strengths in other areas including the biology of the immune and cardiovascular systems, organ transplantation and stem cell biology.

The CRF will provide a vital facility for the area's clinical research teams, will enable training and will enhance collaborations, especially in stem cell biology and in research into the immunological basis of some psychiatric diseases.

The hubs have a specific focus on neuroimaging and the development of novel therapeutics for mental illness.
