Enhancing work on biomarkers for cancer prognosis.

Open since July 2002, the Manchester Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility provides a supportive environment for investigators undertaking high-quality clinical research.

What kind of work is conducted there?

There are facilities to support extensive areas of research, e.g. cardiovascular, dermatology, epidemiology, mental health, neurology, oncology, paediatric-based research and rehabilitation studies.

What facilities are on offer?

The Manchester Facility is expanding to enhance its work on biomarkers for cancer prognosis. This will involve building a database of existing and future samples from patients for further analysis.
