You are:

• an internationally competitive researcher
  who wishes to undertake a sabbatical in order to enrich your research programme and initiate significant new collaborations. You either hold an established post in the UK/Republic of Ireland or you hold an established post in a developing or restructuring country and have a significant track record of Wellcome Trust funding as principal applicant, coapplicant or Fellow.
• a biomedical researcher
  with at least two years’ postdoctoral experience. You either have a relevant connection with the UK/EEA or you are in a developing or restructuring country and have a sponsor with a significant track record of Trust funding either as a principal applicant, coapplicant or Wellcome Fellow. You want to obtain significant new research skills or experience either in a new discipline or in an emerging aspect of your own field.
• a clinician
  with a relevant connection with the UK/EEA and a National Training Number or you are a clinician in a developing or restructuring country. You have completed a PhD and want to obtain significant new research skills or experience either in a new discipline or in an emerging aspect of your own field.
