Pathogen Biology and Disease Transmission Expert Review Group
This ERG will consider requests for support to improve understanding of the emergence, transmission, pathogenesis and control of acute and chronic infectious diseases. Its remit includes:
- Parasite, bacterial and viral infections of humans and animals
- Vector biology
- Identification and early-stage development of antimicrobial agents
- Antimicrobial drug resistance
- Population studies of the distribution and transmission of infectious agents

Investigator Award and senior level fellowship applications are processed three times a year. Applicants are advised to allow at least four months from submission of a main application to their preferred start date and also to take into account the meeting dates of the relevant Expert Review Group and Interview Panel.
