Our work: Projects supporting teachers
Teachers are at the heart of a good education. Around half of young people surveyed said that having a good teacher had encouraged them to learn science, but half identified a bad teacher as something that had put them off (source: Wellcome Trust Monitor, 2010). It is unsurprising then, that our highest priority for science education is supporting and investing in our teachers.
Training opportunities for primary, secondary and FE science teachers and technicians.

We work with local Camden schools on specific projects, such as supporting Extended Project Qualifications or promoting interdisciplinary STEM teaching.
The Wellcome Library supports students working on research projects relating to history of health and medicine.
