Back with a bang

Registration is now open for the next Big Bang Fair. Running 14-17 March 2013 at London's ExCeL Centre, it gives young people of all ages an insight into the opportunities that science, technology, engineering and maths can create.

From hearing a 'Theoretical Zombiologist' explain the real-life science behind the undead to filming a television science report, the Big Bang Fair promises a packed schedule of exciting hands-on activities, workshops and performances.

Entrance is free and booking is now open for school and family groups. For those keen to help inspire the next generation, there are also opportunities to be involved as a volunteer.

The Big Bang Fair, which is supported by the Wellcome Trust, is part of a national programme of regional and local events that give young people the chance to experience inspiring science and engineering within their community.
