Dr Anthony Woods

Biography

Tony Woods is the Head of Medical Humanities at the Wellcome Trust, and as such oversees the Biomedical Ethics grants and policy programmes in addition to the History of Medicine Programme. Prior to taking this post he worked on the Trust's Physiology and Pharmacology Programme. He is a physiologist by training, having taken a PhD from University of London and pursued a research career for 11 years before joining the Trust.
