Dr Kgosi Letlape
Biography
Dr Kgosi Letlape is an ophthalmologist by training, having spent time at the St John's Eye Hospital and the Baragwanath Hospital in South Africa. He is currently in private practice and became Chairperson of the National Council of the South African Medical Association in 2001.
He is an International Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmologists; Fellow of the College of Medicine, South Africa; Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh; Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmology, United Kingdom; Member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons; Member of the International Society of Refractive Surgeons; Ophthalmic Consultant to the South African Boxing Commission; and Member of the Medical Council of the Bureau for the Prevention of Blindness (South African Society for the Blind).
Abstract of presentation
Dr Letlape's presentation will focus on the World Medical Association's Declaration of Helsinki, with regard to post-trial access.
