Grant funding and major investment

Our broadcast grants offer support for projects and programmes that engage an audience with issues in biomedical science in an innovative, entertaining and accessible way.

Broadcast Development Awards (up to £10 000) support the development of early-stage broadcast projects. This might include:

  • undertaking thorough research
  • script development
  • scoping multimedia potential or wrap-around activities
  • working up a comprehensive distribution plan.

People Awards (up to £30 000) are also available to broadcasters to support the production of fully developed projects.

Larger grants are available by invitation only to support exceptional projects.
