Valuable lessons: Engaging with the social context of science in schools

'Valuable Lessons' is a research report that explores how teachers approach controversial topics raised by science in their lessons.

The research was commissioned by the Wellcome Trust and carried out by the Institute of Education, London. The key findings and recommendations led to a stakeholder conference examining how to put theory into practice. A summary of the research report and a further report of the conference are available below.
