Assessment Framework Report 2011/12

The Wellcome Trust's Assessment Framework was established to enable progress to be tracked against the ten key indicators of progress set out in our 'Strategic Plan 2005-2010' - providing key information to help us understand the impact of the work we fund and how we are making a difference.

The 'Assessment Framework Report' has been produced annually since 2005/06. From 2010/11, the Assessment Framework was developed to track our achievements as outlined by the six outcome measures and 12 indicators of progress detailed our new Strategic Plan for 2010-2020: 'Extraordinary Opportunities'.

The report includes qualitative and quantitative data from across the Trust, describing outputs and achievements associated with Trust activities. It also presents a series of research profiles ('highlights' and 'histories'), which are research narratives intended to complement more quantitative output-based information, and provide a more detailed picture of how Trust-funded activity is making a difference.
