Addressing Genetics, Delivering Health

The Public Health Genetics Unit, commissioned by the Wellcome Trust and the Department of Health, ran a series of workshops and meetings that led to the publication of 'Addressing Genetics, Delivering Health' - a strategy for developing the education and training of health professionals in relation to new genetic technologies.

Key recommendations

These include the establishment of a:

• steering group for genetics education
• centre for genetics education
• formal education programme.
