Translating Pharmacogenetics Research into Practice: Ethical and policy issues

The Biomedical Ethics Programme hosted this meeting in September 2003.Researchers who had been funded through the Wellcome Trust's call for proposals in this area came together with policy makers and other stakeholders, and identified a number of ethical implications and policy recommendations surrounding the implementation of pharmacogenetics. Those at the meeting also had the chance to comment on some of the Department of Health's proposals in this field.
