Pharmacogenetics Workshop: Background paper and report

This paper was commissioned to inform discussions at a workshop on pharmacogenetics organised by the Wellcome Trust. This was held in London in October 1999.

The paper surveys developments in this field and discusses the ethical, legal and social issues that are raised. It concludes by posing questions for further discussion at the Trust workshop, and more widely.
