1. Investigator Awards
Full details of the Wellcome Trust Investigator Awards have now been published online. Information includes eligibility criteria, application details and closing dates.

2. Wellcome Trust-Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Postdoctoral Fellowships
Applications are now open for potential applicants working at the interfaces between biology/medicine and mathematics, engineering, computer, physical or chemical sciences. The deadline for applications is 7 June 2010.
3. New four-year PhD Programmes
Applications are now open for new, innovative PhD programmes to train biomedical scientists. Preliminary applications should be submitted by 11 May 2010.
4. Senior Research Fellowships
Applications are now open for the Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellowship in Basic Biomedical Science and the International Senior Research Fellowships. The deadline for preliminary applications, for both schemes, is 4 June 2010.
5. Personal support schemes in the Medical Humanities
Are you interested in pursuing research to explore moral or ethical dilemmas in healthcare practice, or medicine and healthcare in historical context? Fellowships and research leave opportunities in health-related ethics and medical history are now available through our Medical Humanities funding programme.

6. Career Tracker
A big thank you to everyone who has taken part in the Wellcome Trust's longitudinal career tracking study so far! Find out more about the aims of the study and read the results from the first wave (conducted in 2009). The next wave of the survey is currently underway and results from this will be made available later in the year.
7. UKPMC Beta: tell us what you think
A new beta version of UK PubMed Central was launched in January, offering researchers seamless access to over 1.7 million full text research articles and 19 million PubMed abstracts, as well as selected additional content such as UK clinical guidelines and PhD theses. Try out the site and submit your feedback using the link at the top of every page.
8. Support for grant applicants writing public engagement plans
Would you like help completing the public engagement component of your grant application? Chris Stock, c.stock@wellcome.ac.uk, and Kirsty Roach, k.roach@wellcome.ac.uk, in the Trust's Public Engagement team provide advice on writing your public engagement plans and can give you the contacts and support needed to deliver these.
9. ‘Pressure Drop’ at Wellcome Collection, until 12 May
‘Pressure Drop’ is a new play by maverick theatre-makers On Theatre, featuring legendary singer songwriter Billy Bragg and his band. Part gig, part play, part installation 'Pressure Drop' takes us to the heart of one family's struggle to define home, and is a passionate account of what it is to be English today.

11. Book Prize judges announced
We are delighted to announce the judging panel for the 2010 Wellcome Trust Book Prize. Chaired by Clive Anderson, former barrister, comedy writer and presenter, the panel includes writer and former Man Booker judge Maggie Gee; writer, professor and former Man Booker judge AC Grayling; University College London based medical historian Michael Neve; and anatomist, anthropologist, presenter and author Alice Roberts.
12. Feedback on our website
A user survey is currently running across the Trust's website. If you have five minutes to spare, your opinions and suggestions for improvements would be greatly welcomed.
