Implementation of the joint statement

The partners in this initiative have established a Public Health Research Data Forum as a basis for further discussion and coordination of activities to further the goals set out in the joint statement.

We are in the process of establishing three working groups that will develop joint activities to address key challenges facing the research community in increasing access to public health research data. The areas covered by three working groups will be:

• capacity and skills
• culture and incentives
• infrastructure and tools.

The working groups will engage, and work in partnership with, the research community and other key stakeholder groups. Further information on working group activities will be provided as this work moves forward.
