Strategic Awards Committee
Remit
The Strategic Awards Committee has full power and authority to consider and approve or reject proposals for funding of Strategic Awards and other funding proposals or initiatives that fall outside of established review, decision-making or funding mechanisms and delegations.

Heads of department within the Science Funding division shall be members of the Committee where a proposal falls within the remit of the holder of that position; otherwise the heads of department shall be invited to attend each meeting but shall not be members.
External advisers may be invited to serve on the Committee on a 'one off' basis.
