Graduate Development Programme: IT

The Wellcome Trust's IT department is accountable for delivering the wide range of IT services and projects that support the Trust's major grant giving, operations and investments activities.

With a headcount of 41, an operational budget of around £4 million and a development budget of around £5m, our department is key to supporting the operational effectiveness of the Trust in achieving its aims.

During your time with IT you will gain a thorough understanding of and grounding in the department and its operation, encompassing Development, Procurement, and Service Delivery and Operations.

In doing so you will be actively involved in supporting or leading one or more business-critical projects as part of the Trust's annual approved IT Development Agenda, during which you will experience the end-to-end life cycle of an IT Project, working closely with many of the our key customers and stakeholders.

On concluding your IT placement it is anticipated that you will have personally and tangibly contributed to the Trust by the successful delivery of a major project while extending your customer network and business knowledge.
