Graduate Development Programme: Science Funding
The Science Funding division is the main scientific interface between the Trust and our biomedical and public health research community. We manage a large budget that is used to fund the brightest scientists with the best ideas.
With a headcount of 32, the division is made up of people with diverse scientific backgrounds and expertise, and is organised around scientific fields (Molecular and Physiological Sciences, Neurosciences and Mental Health, and Pathogens, Immunology and Population Health), and cross-cutting areas (Careers, Clinical and International), where we operate flexibly in a matrix.
During your time in Science Funding, you will gain a thorough understanding of the areas of science that we support, and the ways in which we fund scientific research and work with our community. You will also be involved in developing ideas and strategies in consultation with the community, in order to take forward new scientific opportunities.
By the end of your placement, you will have been able to make a direct and tangible contribution to the Trust's mission by supporting the brightest minds in biomedical research.
