Graduate Development Programme: Communications

The Trust's Communications unit consists of two teams: Communications and Media are responsible for press relations, marketing and internal communications; the Publishing team is responsible for producing multimedia content for our websites and publications, and creating design materials for both the Trust and Wellcome Collection.

During your rotation here, you can explore one of two routes, focusing on corporate communications or science writing. Within corporate communications you will be exposed to the day-to-day running of a busy press office, the strategic management of public relations, control of our external reputation (including brand and marketing) and employee engagement. The science writing route provides practical experience of writing for our different audiences across a range of media including print publications, website news and features, blogs and social networking sites.

Both routes provide you with experience of working with a team blending their core skills with the latest technologies and communications approaches.
